King Saud University is pleased to host the International Chemistry Olympiad, driven by its leading role in supporting scientific research and outstanding researchers in various fields of science, in addition to the university's academic capabilities and resources, the university has consolidated its prestigious position in scientific research locally, regionally, and globally. This is evidenced by the number of research papers published annually by the university in various research fields, as well as its ability to attract outstanding research cadres and establish research partnerships with international universities and research centers which encourage it to develop in the field of advanced science and technology.
The organization of this Olympiad within the university is an opportunity to benefit from educational and scientific experiences among the participating countries and to establish connections between students. The university aspiration is to attract outstanding students and to prepare the ground for their admission to the university by introducing the university's facilities and establishments, visiting its research laboratories and excellence research centers, and becoming familiar with the research capabilities.
Participation in the International Chemistry Olympiad aims to raise the name of Saudi Arabia in international competitions and enhance confidence in national capacities to compete globally in the field of science in general, and chemistry. Additionally, this Olympiad aims to raise society's awareness of the role of chemistry, develop the spirit of scientific competition among the elements of the educational process, and contribute to building a creative generation capable of communicating in a scientific language.
The participation of King Saud University in this field is to provide a suitable environment for the participants during the International Chemistry Olympiad to communicate and share their experiences.
